Rector of the College of Europe and former Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Federica Mogherini, will participate in the ESG Adria Summit, which will be held from April 24 to 26 in Tivat.
The organizer of the Sustineri Partners Summit announced that Mogherini will speak about the European future of the region at the summit.
Mogherini is the former High Representative of the European Union (EU) for foreign affairs and security policy, as well as the former Vice-President of the European Commission.
"With more than three decades of experience in international diplomacy and negotiations, Mogherini is one of the strong advocates of regional cooperation, promotion of human rights and EU policies," the statement said.
It is stated that Mogherini, during his participation in the ESG Adria Summit, will focus on the European future of the region.
"It will emphasize the critical importance of better regional cooperation as the foundation of prosperity for both current and future generations. In addition, she will emphasize the importance of gender equality and look back at some of today's challenges in the world and the international environment," the announcement states.
Executive director of Sustineri Partners and founder of the ESG Adria Summit, Biljana Braithwaite, said that Mogherini, a successful and world-renowned leader, will emphasize the importance of youth empowerment, regional cooperation and greater inclusion of women in leadership positions at the ESG Adria Summit.
"We are extremely honored that Federica Mogherini will be at the Summit and we believe that by her participation, sharing knowledge and best EU practices, she will inspire numerous participants and strengthen the countries of the region on the way to the EU," said Braithwaite.
She stated that she believes that Mogherini will further raise awareness of the importance of environmental, social and responsible corporate governance standards (ESG standards) and their implementation in relation to the main global challenges of today.
The ESG Adria Summit will be held in Montenegro for the second year in a row and, under the slogan "Act now for a sustainable tomorrow", will gather more than 500 participants.
At the Summit, participants will discuss innovations, solutions in the field of sustainable development, renewable energy sources, artificial intelligence, new platforms, initiatives and investments that can accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future and the ESG agenda in the Adria region and beyond.
The ESG Adria Summit is organized by the company Sustineri Partners, in Porto Montenegro, in partnership with the Montenegrin Government and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro.
