Patients scheduled for surgery at the Clinical Center today were returned home, as the largest health facility ran out of water.
Due to the impossibility of sterilizing the instruments, doctors were forced to postpone the operations of all patients on the program, including the operations of oncology patients.
"Vijesti" asked the Clinical Center why all planned operations were suspended, what consequences the interruption of water supply has on the work of the institution and when they expect the problem to be resolved.
From that institution, they sent a press release in which they claim that the malfunction will be fixed quickly.
"We inform the public that the main water pipe burst in the Clinical Center of Montenegro, which at the moment has caused a difficult water supply. The engineering and technical maintenance service of KCCG reacted immediately and, in cooperation with the intervention team of the Podgorica Water and Sewerage, is intensively working on the rehabilitation of the resulting Due to the fact that the mentioned malfunction caused a reduced water supply pressure in our institution, and therefore sufficient quantities for medical devices in the operating rooms, in order to safely care for patients with emergency conditions, we have currently suspended the elective, i.e., planned program. "all emergency interventions will continue to be carried out safely, and according to the information we have at this moment, we expect a quick elimination of the malfunction, after which KCCG, with the maximum involvement of employees, will continue with the regular work process," the announcement states.
