Mayor Prof. Dr. Olivera Injac visited today the completed works on the new road in the Zelenika settlement, about 380 meters in length, which were carried out by the teams of the city company "Roads", it was announced from the capital city of Podgorica.
The announcement adds that it is a new road that connects to the M2 highway and is a circular connection from Prince Mihailo Petrović Street to "Ribnica commerce".
The capital also announced that the works on the construction of a sidewalk area of about 1.100 square meters have been completed.
"This was one of the key points that we identified in the previous period and placed high on the priority list. In this way, we improved the connection of the settlement with the main road, but also had a positive impact on traffic safety. I can promise our citizens that it is still many good projects ahead of us, especially in the coming months. I emphasize with great pride and pleasure that every day we prove how much we are ready to work in the interest of all our citizens," said Injac.
The Capital City said that the value of the works was around 176.000 euros.
In addition to the connecting road in the Zelenika settlement, the mayor also visited the recently completed works on the roundabout towards Tuzi.
"I want to emphasize that this was a very demanding job, considering that the roundabout was in a very chaotic state for almost two years. In addition, I would like to emphasize that a dynamic plan was made for other locations for reconstruction and execution of works... Currently, all capacities in Piperi, where the roads have not been reconstructed for several decades. We have invested a lot of time to strengthen the capacities to be ready to implement such demanding tasks in the full sense," said Injac.
