Through an educational workshop and interactive activities and games, we tried our best to explain to our youngest fellow citizens the importance of helping others and spreading kindness in their community, said Jelena Baltić from the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation.
The foundation said that in cooperation with ADP Zid, they marked the Day of Good Deeds by educating children from VJ "Zvjezdica" in Nikšić about the importance of volunteer work.
"The workshop was designed to give children the opportunity to understand how important it is to be part of the positive changes around them. Through stories, games and creative tasks, the little ones learned how they, so young, can become volunteers, and how acts of kindness can have a great influence on other people," Baltić pointed out.
The Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation added that for many years, in addition to their priority area of providing assistance to the socially vulnerable part of the population of Montenegro, they have also been focusing on education and encouraging greater involvement of children and young people in volunteer activities.
"Educational activities like this are important for the formation of values in children from the youngest age. With the help of teachers from VJ 'Zvjezdica', the little ones learned what volunteerism is, who can be a volunteer and why volunteerism is important. The children showed great interest and enthusiasm during the workshop, and as a symbol of gratitude for their willingness to get involved and do a good deed, each child received a gift. One of the most interesting parts of the workshop was the assignment of good deeds for each of them the opportunity to apply the lessons learned and become active little volunteers in the community. The key goal of the Foundation was for the little ones, through the workshop, to understand the essence of today's slogan - How nice it is to be good," concluded Baltić.
