"Despite the fact that several years have passed since the devastation of Goli Brdo in Sutomore due to fire, the competent state authorities have not undertaken a single activity on the comprehensive rehabilitation, recultivation and greening of this area.
This is a sufficient reason to turn to the Directorate for Forest and Hunting Management and the relevant Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management as the holders of property rights, as well as JP Morsko dobro as the subject of disposal, with the initiative and request that they undertake activities to remove the remaining quantities of burned trees, and that they start working on the project of recultivation, greening and arrangement of this area as soon as possible. This area deserves and must be treated in an adequate way, it must be a green oasis, a place for rest and recreation for all our fellow citizens and tourists who stay in Sutomore," said Barović's statement to the media.
The member of the DPS adds that, although the local administration in Bar carried out the procedure and financed the removal of burned trees from the area of Golog brdo, to the knowledge of the Directorate for Forest and Hunting Management, for a long period of time, it has not undertaken tasks within its jurisdiction to completely remove the burned trees. trees located at the foot of Golog brdo.
"This is the reason why we believe that it is high time to stop ignoring initiatives that mean the improvement and arrangement of the state of the area and to find a model for solving this issue in cooperation with the local administration.
