The President of the URA Civil Movement, Dritan Abazović, said at a press conference earlier today, among other things, that the Government's Proposal for the Law on confiscation of property benefits is not an "anti-mafia" law, but an extremely inappropriate "mafia law", which should be "opposed with all forces".
"Although we worked on the Draft Amendments to the Law on Confiscation of Property Gains from Criminal Activities in cooperation with the European Commission, the Council of Europe, SDT and other relevant institutions, Dritan Abazović, as usual, continues with banal untruths with the aim of provincial theatricalization of politics in which it's the only way he manages," Milović pointed out in a statement delivered by the Ministry of Justice.
He added "but for the sake of the public of Montenegro, we speak with facts".
"The government did not propose anything, nor did 'Spajić and Milović', because the Draft Law is in the public debate that lasts until April 28, and in that process all constructive suggestions will be taken into account. That's all. The Ministry of Justice and the 44th Government They have not given up on the 'Italian model.' Montenegro, so it needs to be set up properly so that it is applicable in practice, and not a PR political trick, because unlike the practices of the 43rd Abazović Government, this Government does things thoroughly, seriously and efficiently, without fanfare, pomp and circus tricks. Since Abazović attacked the 44th Government, especially Spajić and me, for protecting the mafia, the former police director, the former Chief Special Prosecutor, the former head of the SBPOK, members of various clans have been arrested, so it seems that only he understands how we protect the mafia." said Milović.
He said that Montenegro knows that for Abazović every truth is like this.
"As Sula Radov used to say, it's shallow here. Enough with the smart," concluded Milović.
