The President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, presented a valuable donation to the Nikšić General Hospital in the amount of 30 euros for the purchase of a digital mobile X-ray machine.
According to the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Dušanka Milatović Perović, the donation is more than welcome, bearing in mind that the existing x-ray is out of order.
"Until now, we managed with the help of the Special Hospital in Brezovik, but our patients were never in danger. Now, thanks to the Municipality of Nikšić, they will have a digital mobile X-ray machine at their disposal, and we are always here to help our patients and when there is trouble, we contact whoever is willing to help", said the director of the General Hospital.
Kovačević pointed out that both the local administration and the General Hospital are the "citizen's center" of their activities, as well as that, as local administration, they are the closest to the Hospital and are in a "position to react the fastest", even though things are not within their jurisdiction.
"You know for yourself how difficult it is to go through all the procedures, and this is an urgent need of the citizens of Nikšić and a form of public interest. In this way, we help not only the General Hospital to be technically equipped, but also in the most direct way to our fellow citizens who are help is necessary and those who need the services of this device", said Kovačević.
He pointed out that they have excellent cooperation with the Ministry of Health, as well as that they know that the line ministry for health institutions is preparing significant projects and will allocate large funds.
