The committee club Movement Europe Now in the Bar Municipal Assembly assessed that the meaning of the adopted conclusions from the session of that local parliament on April 25 is against the vision of the development of the largest coastal municipality.
They say that the basic mission of that committee club is to protect the public interest and improve the quality of life of fellow citizens.
"Namely, the councilors who make up the ruling majority, without relevant facts and clear parameters, professional and scientific knowledge that they would present to the citizens of Bar, supported the initiative which aims to veto the construction of a terminal for liquid natural gas, a highway that would connect Bar with the rest of Montenegro and the region, as well as to stop the sustainable exploitation of mineral resources. We are also concerned by the fact that the conclusions were adopted without prior consultation with the Council for Environmental Protection SO Bar, whose main purpose and purpose is to deal with issues in the field of ecology. as well as the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources," the announcement states.

They state that on this occasion, they called on the relevant ministries to approach the resolution of open issues in the most transparent way and help provide objective information to the public regarding the provision of answers to the good and bad sides of the use of development potential in the area of the municipality of Bar.
"Also, as a political entity made up of responsible individuals, we invite the expert and interested public to take part in these important topics concerning the development of our municipality, with the aim of diversifying the local economy so that it is not completely dependent exclusively on the tourism sector, which during in recent years has shown itself to be a very vulnerable branch of the economy," the announcement concludes.
