The Council for Citizen Control of Police Work announced that they were aware of an attack on journalist Alisa Hajdarpašić in Bijelo Polje, which was duly reported to the competent authorities.
"Mrs. Hajdarpašić was intimidated and hindered in the regular and professional performance of her journalistic work and task. The council decided to act on its own initiative, to monitor and verify the application of police powers in the specific case," the statement said.
The subject, as they say, in the capacity of processor and reporter, is the responsible member and president of the Council, Zoran Čelebić, a lawyer from Podgorica.
"The council asked the director of the Police Directorate to inform him in detail about the incident, the motives of the attack and the actions taken by the Police Directorate in connection with the submitted report. Urgency in handling and providing answers was also requested," the statement concludes.
