Montenegro has made significant progress in the field of innovation and digital transformation, laying solid foundations for the future development of the country, said Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović. Jakšić Stojanović is on an official visit to Greece at the invitation of the Greek Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitrios Papastergiou, due to his participation in the BEYOND Ministerial Leadership Dialogue for Southeast Europe 2024.
During the panel "Tracing the path to regional digital growth: The future of innovative investments, regional convergence and challenges", he pointed out that Montenegro has made significant progress in the field of innovation and digital transformation, laying solid foundations for the future development of the country.
Jakšić Stojanović also stated that the Ministry, which she heads, through intensive efforts in the previous period, created an adequate strategic and legislative framework for encouraging innovation and digitization processes at all levels.
"She especially highlighted the Smart Specialization Strategy S3 2019-2024. which is very significant at the national level, bearing in mind the fact that Montenegro is the first country outside the European Union to adopt the Digital Transformation Strategy 2022-2026. which is fully aligned with strategies at the EU level, and the Strategy for Digitalization of the Education System 2022-2027, which follows the EU digital education plan", the Ministry announced.
Jakšić Stojanović stated that in Montenegro, special attention is paid to encouraging innovation culture and digitization process, in which, apart from the relevant ministry, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro (NTP), the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center "Technopolis" and the Innovation Fund play a significant role. .
"We are pleased to announce the opening of the new NTP building in Podgorica, which will be the meeting place of the academic and business community, and within which the Regional Center for Cyber Security and Cyber Capacity Development (WB3C) will be opened," added Jakšić Stojanović.
