The students of the Secondary School of Music "Dara Čokorilo" from Nikšić successfully presented themselves at the third State Competition of Secondary Schools in the field of musical art, which was held on April 24 and 25, 2024, organized by the Center for Vocational Education, the school announced.
The host of this year's competition was the JU Music School "Vida Matjan" from Kotor.
"The contestants were evaluated by an eminent jury from the country and region, according to established rules and regulations, and the regularity of the competition was monitored by representatives of the Center for Vocational Education, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Institute of Education," the announcement reads.

In the Choir discipline, students won first place, mentor prof. Valentina Topalović - Jaredić
In the violin discipline (first category) Luka Bajović, a student of the second grade, won the first place, mentor prof. Dijana Dendić, piano collaboration with prof. Ivana Pešić
In the Harmonica discipline (first category), Vuk Vujačić, a first grade student won second place, while Lazar Čuljković, also a first grade student, won third place - mentor prof. Vesna Sarac
In the Solfeggio discipline (second category) Kaća Radulović, a third-grade student, won third place, mentor prof. Jelica Jošanović
In the discipline History of Music I (first category), Ksenija Sarić, a student of the second grade, won third place, mentor prof. Dragana Glomazić.
When it comes to the Duo discipline, the students of that school achieved the following results:
Duet with piano: - Emilija Pejaković (piano) and Nađa Papović (clarinet), students of the first grade, won first place, in the first category, mentor prof. Stefan Popovic.
- Miloš Burić (piano) and Ivan Burić (violin), first and fourth grade students, won first place in the second category, mentor prof. Diana Dendić.
- Bjanka Minić (piano) and Nađa Spasojević (violin), students of the fourth grade, won second place, in the second category, mentor prof. Ivana Pešič.
Combined duo:
- Luka Bajović (violin) and Čuljković Lazar (accordion), second and first grade students, won first place in the first category, mentor prof. Diana Dendić.
- Ksenija Sarić (flute) and Vujačić Vuk (accordion), second and first grade students, won second place in the first category, mentor prof. Vesna Sarac.
Vocal duo:
- Bajović Luka and Bojić Jana, second and third grade students, won third place, in the second category, mentor prof. Tijana Blečić - Perović.
"At the end of the second, final competition day, a concert was held for the first-ranked students. At the concert, the Golden Cup was presented to the conductor of the choir, Prof. Valentina Topalović Jaredić," concludes the announcement of the High School of Music "Dara Čokorilo".
