Exactly 55 minutes after the siren signaled the end of the game with Gran Canaria, Vladimir Jovanović came out of the locker room of Buducnost Volija.
Three minutes before him, the meeting with the coaching staff and players ended with president Dragan Bokan, who was angry because of the heaviest defeat in the Eurocup in Morača.
In the hall of the largest Montenegrin hall, he said in passing that no decision had been made, but that in the coming days punishments for the team can be expected.
The 49-year-old Čačan was also disappointed.
"Bad game all 40 minutes. The first half from Trento followed us here as well, it was a very bad approach in defense, we allowed a lot of easy shots, and Gran Canaria had almost 60 percent shooting for three in the 1st half. The visitors found an excellent rhythm in attack and kept it until the end. I didn't manage to find a five that would be stronger defensively, so that we could score easy points. Even if we managed to do that, we missed some passes," said Jovanović.
When asked if Bokan had made a decision, the head of the professional staff answered:
"There are no decisions, and whether to be, talk to the president. A game like this requires attention, not only from me as a coach, but from the entire club. It is neither the first nor the last time. I hope we get out of this. 10 days ago everything was great, but everything turned 180 degrees. We have to react as we should".
Gran Canaria coach Jaka Laković was understandably happy about the game and the fact that his team is one step away from the status of the best team in the group stage and the home field advantage throughout the knockout stage.
"Congratulations to the players on a very good game. We opened the match very well, our confidence grew due to our good defense, and then we raised it even more with our attack. We didn't look back, we remained aggressive in defense and had very good shooting percentages. We had 26 assists, it shows that the team play was great".
