The president of the Basketball Association of Montenegro, Nikola Peković, said that KSCG was paralyzed by several people - the president of the Association Assembly, Radoslav Jovanović, and several members of the Board of Directors.
He added in the statement delivered to "Vijesti" that because of this KSCG and all the decisions that must be made have been blocked.

"I am addressing the sports public and state institutions to point out that the Basketball Association of Montenegro has been paralyzed by several people, the President of the Assembly of the KSC and several members of the Board of Directors.
Although I was the valid president of the KSCG at the previous assembly, more precisely, by not adopting the Agenda, my legitimacy was confirmed and now when the Supervisory Board needs to be constituted, there is a huge obstruction from the same people, all for personal interests.
Thus, at this moment, KSCG is completely blocked, as well as all the decisions that must be made.
In order to inform the public, the mandate of the previous Board of Directors expired in January 2023, and the President of the Assembly, for reasons known only to him, from June 2023, although I personally submitted several requests for holding and indicated that not holding the assembly will directly affect the delay in the start of the season, every kind of planning, decision-making and everything related to the real need for functioning, both the federation and the clubs, which form the basis of the creation of our players and are most responsible for the success of Montenegrin basketball.
I am addressing the public in this way, considering that in the previous period I did everything to unblock the process and create normal conditions for functioning
By that I mean that three opinions were obtained from competent institutions of inspection supervision, in which it was stated that the mandate of the previous Board of Directors was terminated and the immediate election of a second Board of Directors was ordered, and by that we mean the convening of the Assembly of the KSCG, which, as you know, has not even been scheduled.
Are we going to allow the arbitrariness of people to disrupt this success of Montenegrin basketball, both men's and women's selections, and that all the hard work of all the other clubs that are most deserving and form the basis for this success of Montenegrin basketball be called into question.
I myself was a target of these people. In all possible ways and on all possible grounds, and especially privately, I have not responded and I will not. I tried and to a great extent I managed to provide all the conditions for our selections myself with the help of friends, sponsors and the state, and without any help from the members of the Board of Directors. Here I have to distance myself and state that it is about a few people, and not all the members of the previous meeting of the Supervisory Board.
They have not and will not cause a part in me where I will argue and fight on personal or any other grounds, whether through newspapers or in any other way with the people I am talking about. I will simply never do that, but as long as there are institutions, competent bodies of this country and the legal system, I will do everything to make the federation an association and organization of basketball clubs, not individuals.
In this direction, I will use all means, all legitimate means and ask for the help of all competent authorities, but also clubs in achieving this goal. It is necessary to convene the KSCG Assembly with one item on the agenda, which is the election of new members of the Supervisory Board.
I want the public to know that convening does not depend on me and the Assembly is scheduled by the President of the KSCG Assembly, and in this case it is Mr. Radoslav Musa Jovanović.
I invite him again and in this way, even though I have done it several times so far in person and through direct contact, I invite sports clubs and the public to do everything to bring things to a normal state, to create all the normal conditions so that the KSCG can function in the interest of all , above all sports workers, players and basketball in general.
I will add that it is more than sad and devastating that all this is happening at a time when the men's basketball team of Montenegro has achieved a historic result, for which we are receiving praise from all over the world. Also, all this is happening at the moment when we as an alliance took the initiative and proposed to the state of Montenegro and all its institutions to stand by us and support us in the process of obtaining the organization of the Qualification Tournament for the Olympic Games where Podgorica would be the host.
It is unnecessary to talk about the benefit of that event and the promotion of the state of Montenegro in general. In the end, I will just tell you and ask you that the personal does not prevail over the general and good, and I hope for a quick reaction from everyone," Peković said in the announcement.
