The women's basketball team of Montenegro wants to continue with good games from the European Championship (EP) and start a new cycle of qualifications with a victory, said captain Milica Jovanović.

The Montenegrin national team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) tomorrow (20) in Sarajevo, while a duel with Switzerland is scheduled for November 12 in Igalo.

Jovanović said that Montenegrin basketball players are always happy and excited when they have to play for the national team.

"The gatherings give us a great incentive to represent our country in the best possible way. We want to continue with good games with the European Championship, and thanks to them we got somewhat easier rivals in the qualifications, than was the case before," said Jopvanović at the conference for journalists.

The basketball player from Miskolc said that the preparation of the match is disturbed by the fact that they know little about the selection of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"They changed the team in the new cycle, and they are starting it with a new coach. We will have to adapt to the rival during the game," said Jovanović.

She emphasized that, as in every cycle, she welcomes her duties in the national team with good emotions.

"I want to share them with the new generations in the national team, with the girls who are just coming. I hope that we will make it to the EP for the eighth time in a row. We have a lot of motivation to do it," Jovanović concluded.

The talented Marija Leković, who strengthened Fenerbahce this summer, said that the EP showed that the Montenegrin national team is worth it and that it has a bright future ahead of it.

"The atmosphere in the team is fantastic, there are a lot of young girls, along with a few more experienced ones from whom we learn and are there to help us," said Leković.

She emphasized that she respects Bosnia and Herzegovina, but considers Montenegro to be the favorite.

"We have a match against BIH waiting for us. We have to approach every match seriously. Although the group on paper is a little easier compared to previous years, we will not underestimate anyone," said Leković.
