A record number of clubs applied to participate in another season of mini basketball, announced the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG).
KSCG points out that interest in basketball is growing, and that another season will bring great joy to girls and boys.
Boys born in 2012 will participate in the competition: Boys, Bu2 stars, BKM, Ulcinj, Panter, Mega basket, Mogren basket, Sutomore, AS, Jedinstvo, Adriatik, All Star, Anagastum, MIlenijum, Mediteran, Kolašin, Slavija, Budva basket, Olymp, Nikšić basketball, Morača, Junior, Dečić, Centar and Galeb.
For boys a year younger, the league will have 18 teams divided into two groups.
These are: Sutomore 1 and 2; Gorštak, ALL star, Panther, BKM, Morača, Derby, AS, Primorje, Kotor, Nikšić basketball, Anagastum, Junior, Jadran, Podgorica, Bijela and Budva basketball.
Ten teams were registered for girls born in 2012 and younger: Obrov, Bu2 stars, BKM, Budućnost, Olymp, Sea stars, Herceg Novi, Primorje, Ibar and Lovćen.
This season too, the competition system will be tournament-based. It is planned that everyone will play four tournaments throughout Montenegro, and the fifth will be the final tournament.
"During the last season, 26 tournaments were held, as part of a project recognized by FIBA through its Youth Development Fund. Competition commissioner Maja Milutinović and the selector of the pioneering national team Bojan Bakić attended three seminars (Durres, Madrid, Portugal), which dealt with working with the youngest," KSCG announced.
