Croatian basketball coach Aleksandar Petrović is the new coach of the Brazilian national team, the country's basketball association announced today.
Petrović returns to the position of coach of Brazil, where he previously worked from 2017 to 2021. He comes to this position in order to qualify for this year's Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris.
"I am really happy and proud to return to the position of coach of Brazil. It is time to fully focus on the qualifying tournament and to find our place at the Games in Paris," Aleksandar Petrović said on the occasion of his return to Brazil, as reported by HINA.
From July 2 to 7, Brazil will play a qualifying tournament and is in a group with Montenegro and Cameroon. The second group includes Latvia, Georgia and the Philippines.
