Budućnosti and Podgorica basketball players will open the final series in the Montenegrin championship today (18:30) in "Bemax Arena".
As in the previous three seasons, these teams will fight for the trophy. Budućnost has been undefeated on the domestic stage for a decade, while Podgorica has only been defeated this season in duels against Budućnost.
Budućnost defeated Podgorica in the final of the Cup, as well as in the playoff final the previous three seasons.
"Two more matches await us and I believe that we will also confirm our dominance in the final series and end the season with the title. Podgorica played well during the season, showed that it is progressing, we played interesting matches, and I hope that it will make this final interesting as well. However, I believe that we will show that we are of better quality and that we will round off the season with a title", said the captain of the Blues, Zorana Radonjić.
Since its formation, Podgorica has always been in the playoff finals.
"This was an interesting season, where we had really good matches both in the WABA U17 league and on the domestic stage. Every match against Buducnosti is an opportunity for our players to further improve and gain experience, because we don't often have the opportunity to play matches against such strong teams. That's why we are happy to have won another final and we will do everything to make the best possible impression in two matches, to resist as long as possible, and I believe that my young players will show that they really have great potential," he said. Two games will be played in the final, and the second one is on Thursday.
