Denver basketball players took a 2:0 lead against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs in the NBA League, as they won 101:99 last night.
Victory for the current champions was brought by Jamal Murray in the last moments of the game. He finished the game with 20 points and five rebounds, and Serbian center Nikola Jokić was the most effective with a triple-double performance of 27 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists.
Michael Porter added 22 points and nine rebounds, Aaron Gordon added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Christian Brown added 10 points.
In the team from Los Angeles, Anthony Davis scored 32 points with 11 rebounds, LeBron James had 26 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds, and D'Angelo Russell 23 points and six assists, with seven three-pointers from 11 attempts.
The Nuggets managed to make up for a 20-point deficit in the second half (48:68), and Murray's winning basket was the team's first lead in a 5:3 game at the beginning. He hit the basket after 16 seconds before the end James missed a long shot with the score 99:99. Porter caught the ball under the basket, and Murray scored on the other side as the siren sounded.
Denver thus inflicted the 10th consecutive defeat on the Lakers.

New York basketball players took a 2:0 lead against Philadelphia in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, after winning 104:101. The Knicks were led by Jalen Branson with 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Josh Hart with 21 points and 15 rebounds and Donte DiVincenzo with 19 points, of which he scored an important three-pointer at the end.
Aizea Hartenstein contributed to the victory with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and O Ji Anunobi with 10 points.
In the Philadelphia team, Tyris Maxey was the most effective with 35 points with 10 assists and nine rebounds and Joel Embiid with 34 points with 10 rebounds and six assists. Tobias Harris added 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Knicks entered the last 30 seconds with a five-point deficit, Branson first hit a three-pointer for 99:101, and then DiVincenzo also scored a three-pointer for a 102-101 lead.
In the next attack, Hartenstein blocked Tyrese Maxey's shot, and Anunoby on the other end scored both points from the free throw line. In the final seconds, Embid missed a three-pointer for overtime.

The most effective in the winning team was Donovan Mitchell with 23 points with eight rebounds and four assists, Evan Mobley added 17 points and seven rebounds, Jarrett Allen 16 points and 20 rebounds, and Darius Garland the game with 15 points.
In the Orlando team, Paolo Bankero scored 21 points, Franz Wagner 18 points with seven rebounds, and Gary Harris 14 points.
