Monaco is playing a quarterfinal Euroleague playoff series with Fenerbahce, and basketball has become incredibly popular in the Principality.
The team from Monte Carlo wants to stay in the Euroleague and before the second game with Fenerbahce, the management of Monaco made an offer to the management of the Euroleague for the purchase of a long-term license, reports BasketNews.
That project also includes the construction of a new, modern basketball hall.
And everything in the Principality started in 2021, when Montenegrin coach Zvezdan Mitrović sensationally won the Eurocup and placed Monaco in the Euroleague.
After that, the club reached the playoffs three times, including a place in the final four.
