Slovenian co-athlete referee Matej Boltauser caused a scandal, after the cameras at the "Nikola Tesla" airport in Belgrade showed that he had stolen Tom Ford perfume, worth 221 euros.
The Euroleague is investigating the case, disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Bolthauser, and he has reportedly admitted his guilt.
"I don't know anything about that, I'm sorry, I can't talk," Bolthauser answered when asked by Serbian journalists.
Although the unfortunate incident happened at the beginning of December after the Partizan - Monaco match, the scandal has only now surfaced and Bolthauser was the referee of the first match of the playoff series between Panathinaikos and Maccabi (87:91), which was marked by "scandalous" announcements by the head coach of the Greek club , Ergin Ataman.
