A day after winning the title, Football Club Budućnost was left without its main sponsor and president - Veselin Mijač, through a lawyer, informed the capital, the majority shareholder, that he was withdrawing from the club, together with his company "Savana", "Vijesti" confirmed.
Mijač and his company took over the management of the Budućnost Football Club in September 2019.

At the end of 2020, a new management contract was signed, by which the Capital City, which owns 99,9980% of the club's shares, transferred management rights to the sponsor for the next five-year period.
In that contract, Mijač and the company "Savana" undertook to provide financial resources for the operation and development of the club in the annual amount of one million and 200 thousand euros, that is, 100 thousand euros for each month, for the duration of the contract.
It was also agreed that financial resources provided by the main sponsor from other sponsors or in other ways, through non-monetary contributions, funds from transfers and contracts for the sale of players, and funds and contributions from UEFA or FSCG based on the results achieved in sports competitions, are included in the settled obligations of the contractual side.
In the period in which Mijač was at the head of the club, Budućnost won three championship titles and two Cups - which is exactly half of the total number of trophies won by the Podgorica club in independent Montenegro (six championship titles, four Cups).
For a time, Mijač was also on the Executive Board of the Football Association of Montenegro, but he withdrew from that body after a dispute over the TV rights of the First League, which his company had with the Football Association.
In the contract that "Vijesti" had access to, Article 10 states that the contract can cease to be valid in one of the following ways:
"Unilateral termination of the sponsor at any time, with a notice period of 120 days, whereby the sponsor is obliged to settle all contractual obligations due by the expiration of the notice period".
This is the member Veselin Mijač referred to, which means that with the arrival of his lawyer in the premises of the Capital City, the process of his exit from the club actually began, which could take some time.
In exactly one month, the future will face obligations at the pre-qualification tournament of the Champions League in Iceland.
