When it was expected that Sutjeska's footballers would get even closer to Dečić and Budućnost and make the fight for the title even more uncertain, a glitch happened - today in Tivat, in the 30th round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League, Nikšić lost to Arsenal (1:0).
Sutjeska ended a streak of nine matches without defeat, and after today's match, it has five points less than Dečić and Budućnosti, and only one point more than the fourth-placed Mornar. This was the first defeat of Nikšić under the leadership of Miljan Radović.
Mljan Radović's team failed to beat Arsenal even in the fourth match this season (three draws and a loss). And Sutjeska could have taken the lead already in the fifth minute when, after a corner, Striković shot wide of the goal from about ten meters away.
There were no more serious opportunities in the first half, and then the only goal was scored in the second half. In the 59th minute, Ćetković headed towards Sutjeska's goal, found former Nikšić player Tučević on the left side, who shot, and Giljen saved, before Araj put the rebound into the net.
It was Araja who had another excellent opportunity after that, when he came out alone in front of Giljen, but the captain of Nikšić reacted brilliantly, as well as with Tučević's attempt from distance, that is, Maraš in stoppage time.
