In the event of a triumph, the people of Nikšić would fully revive their championship ambitions.
"Points would mean a lot to us before the end of the season, especially in the fight for the Europa League, and maybe for the title. But it does not depend only on us, but also on the results of the other matches. We will see what will happen, the most important thing is that we enter the game ready and without injured players. We will do our best to win," said Sutjeska's captain, goalkeeper Vladan Giljen.
The people of Nikšić are playing well in the second half of the season, since the arrival of coach Miljan Radović, they have achieved six victories, one draw and one loss each.
Under Gorica, however, they will have to deal with a not very bright tradition, because they have not celebrated for five years, since September 2019, since then they have experienced six defeats and three draws in nine matches in the championship and in the Cup.
One thing, however, could work in Sutjeska's favor, Giljen is convinced.
"After the defeat in the last round, the future is under more pressure than us, and we will try to take advantage of that. In any case, a very difficult game awaits us. We are in shape, we had a setback against Arsenal, but we quickly got back on the winning track."
Sutjeska's main goal is still placement in Europe. However, only the first or second position guarantees it.
"If we beat Budućnost, and Dečić fails in Bar, we would only depend on us. Because we have a home game against Dečić that can solve everything. We hope it will be like that, but the most important thing is to go game by game. Now the most important is this one the first," Giljen concluded.
