Football clubs Budućnost, Sutjeska, Dečić, Arsenal, Mornar and Breznica received a license to compete in Europe, while the same was not granted to Petrovac, Rudar, Jezera and Mladosta in the first instance procedure, the Club Licensing Commission of the Football Association of Montenegro announced.
The commission sat on Thursday, when it considered the evidence of the fulfillment of the criteria for the clubs that applied for the licensing procedure for competitions organized by UEFA, for the season 2024/25.
The commission considered the submitted documentation and evidence for all five criteria: sports, infrastructural, personnel-administrative, legal and financial, and based on expert reports for each of the criteria individually.
It was established that a total of ten clubs applied for a UEFA license, namely Budućnost, Dečić Admiral bet, Sutjeska Meridianbet, Arsenal, Rudar, Mornar, Jezero, OFK Petrovac, OFK Mladost Lob.bet and FK Breznica.
"After reviewing the documentation, and based on evidence of the fulfillment of the criteria, the Commission unanimously decided to issue a license for competitions organized by UEFA for FC "Budućnost", FC "Sutjeska Meridianbet", FC "Dečić Admiral bet", FC "Arsenal", FC "Mornar" and FC "Breznica". The request for issuing a license for UEFA club competitions for the 2024/25 season was rejected in the first instance procedure for OFK "Petrovac" and FC "Rudar" due to failure to meet the financial criteria, while the requests of FC "Jezero" " and OFK "Mladost Lob.bet" were rejected due to failure to submit license documentation within the period prescribed by the Licensing Rulebook," the FSCG announced.
