Montenegrin handball players had no chance against Germany (28:24) in the 2nd round of the Olympic qualifications, they lost by ten points, but they still hold the trip to Paris in their hands.
"I think that too many missed shots in the first half, as well as a weak opening in the second half, cost us the game," Matea Pletikosić said after the match in Ulm.
Even the maximum performance of our middle back (nine out of nine) did not help the "lionesses".
"During the whole game we came back, fought and I have to congratulate my teammates for fighting, I know we will be better tomorrow... I'm happy that we were there, we didn't give up," added Matea for RTCG.
The ticket to Paris awaits in tomorrow's match with Slovenia - a victory means qualification for the Olympic Games.
"We know that Slovenia is preparing us, but we know what the goal is. It shouldn't be too much of an obstacle, we showed in this game that we can come back from minus ten to minus four," concluded Matea.
