The Lionesses lost to Slovenia in their last match today (30:26), so after three consecutive participations, they were left without the opportunity to be a part of the Olympic Games this summer.
"It is difficult to talk after this defeat, we are all sad. We are aware that a new chance is only in four years. No one wanted a place at the Games more than us, it was difficult to suppress all emotions. For most of the girls, this was the first chance to are qualified for the Olympic Games, so the pressure was greater. Slovenia was better today, it deservedly passed. Unfortunately, this was not enough for the Olympic Games," said Itana Grbić for RTCG .
