12 years ago, Dragan Adžić won a historic silver medal with the Montenegrin women's handball team at the Olympic Games in London.
And 12 years later, Adžić led the Slovenian women's handball team to the Olympic Games, for the first time in history. Today, Slovenia defeated Montenegro (30:26) and left the "lionesses" without a place at the Games.
"I would like to point out that this national team and the work that Bojana Popović and Maja Savić have done after me in Budućnost and the national team of Montenegro is phenomenal. Bow to the end. In this team today they showed a phenomenal fight and game. They have potential and a reason to turn Los Angels", said Adžić after the match for RTCG.

Adžić has been the coach of Slovenia for three years, he made a huge result with this team.
"My vision was that we can place ourselves, that we are worth it. It turned out that these girls are worth it, I am proud of them and their growth. The support we have in the Federation and Crimea contributed to this," said Adžić.
He points out that he is not worried about the future of Montenegrin handball.
"The composition of Montenegro is such that the maximum is extracted. I know those players, I appreciate and respect them, they gave their maximum. If there were a few more handball players, it would have been more difficult. Montenegro has a future, with this work and the conditions it has. No I am worried about the future of Montenegro. With this generation, Slovenia has a chance to be at the Olympic Games. We will do our best to support the development of young players in Slovenia," Adžić concluded .
