The head coach of the men's handball team of Montenegro, Vlado Šola, has determined the list of 18 players for the upcoming play-offs for the World Championship.
"Lavovi" will play against Italy in the play-off - the first match is on May 9 in Konversano (20), while three days later the rematch is in "Morača" (17:30).
The backbone is made up of players who played in the last major competition – EHF Euro 2024 in Germany in January, while Filip Krivokapić and Milorad Bakić could get the chance to debut in the A team and in official matches, after they played in friendly duels against of Georgia in Podgorica.
In the barrage against Italy, Montenegro will try to qualify for the World Championship for the second time in a row, and the third time in total, after participating in the championships in 2013 and 2023.
They are on the list - goalkeepers - Nebojša Simić, Nikola Matović and Haris Suljević; Wings - Miloš Vujović, Aleksandar Bakić, Mirko Radović and Luka Radović; Pivots - Vuk Lazović, Nemanja Grbović and Miodrag Ćorsović; Backs - Arsenije Dragašević, Milorad Bakić, Vuko Borozan, Vasilije Kaluđerović, Radojica Čepić, Filip Krivokapić, Branko Vujović and Stefan Čavor.
The 2025 World Cup will be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway.
