McLaren driver Lando Norris won pole position today for the first sprint race of the Formula 1 season, in the Chinese Grand Prix.
Norris achieved a time of 1:57,940 minutes in the rain in Shanghai, that is, he was 1,261 seconds faster than Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton.
Fernando Alonso in Aston Martin was third, 1,975 seconds behind Norris, while the fourth time was the current champion, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who was 2,088 seconds slower than the winner.
Carlos Sainz, Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri, Valtteri Bottas and Joe Guangiou are also up to the tenth position.
The sprint race and qualifying for the main race are scheduled for tomorrow, while the start of the Chinese Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday at 9.00:XNUMX AM.
