The 2027 European Indoor Athletics Championships will be held in Valencia, it was decided today at the 173rd meeting of the European Athletics Council in Rome.
It will be the second time that the championship will be held in Valencia, after the city hosted it in 1998, and Valencia also hosted the World Indoor Championships in 2008.
"The ability of the Spanish federation to organize extraordinary continental and world athletics events has already been confirmed, and Valencia has hosted several major championships in the past," said the president of European Athletics, Dobromir Karamarinov, as reported by European Athletics on its website.
