And the third Montenegrin boxer, after Tomislav Đinović and Petr Marčić, started with a victory in Belgrade's "Aleksandar Nikolić" hall - heavyweight Dilan Prašović unanimously celebrated against the Lithuanian Airgidis Baniulis for a place in the quarterfinals of the European Championship.
Prašović gained the advantage a minute before the end of the first round, when he forced the referee to count his rival with a right cross.
In the second, the staunch Lithuanian withstood a fierce left uppercut to the chin, but after ten seconds, the second one followed in combination with a right cross. For a new count and an opportunity for Prašović to expertly avoid the fight in the last four minutes, and save himself for the next rival.
And he will be in the fight for the semi-finals and the medal, the Croatian Luka Prakljačić, who surprised the third favorite, the trophy-winning Azerbaijani Mahamad Abdulajev, for a unanimous triumph.
Tomorrow, our last boxer - Stefan Savković in the category up to 71 kilograms - will enter the ring. Tamara Radunović (up to 70) is boxing on Tuesday.
