Tomislav Bato Đinović won a bronze medal in boxing on his European senior debut. The first male selection of Montenegro in the "noble skill" since independence. Cnogorsk boxers waited 24 years for the senior European medal.
On this occasion, the 19-year-old boxer Bk Zlaticanin was congratulated by the Deputy Prime Minister for Demography and Youth and the Minister of Sports and Youth Dragoslav Šćekić.
In his congratulatory message, he stated that the medal is the crown of Tomislav's magnificent talent, hard work and dedication over the past years.
"I congratulate the national team and coach Momcilo Zlaticanin on achieving a historic result. We will cheer for you to bring the gold medal to Montenegro!", said Šćekić in his congratulatory message.
Đinović defeated the Frenchman Lune 5:0 in the quarter-finals of the category up to 60 kg at the Old Continent Championship to qualify for the finals, but due to an injury, he did not box for a bigger medal.
