International J30 Trebjesa Open 2023 Nikšić went to Milan Ristov from Podgorica. He won the tournament in Nikšić yesterday, and today he won the title of the champion of Montenegro under 18 in Podgorica.
The super-talented tennis player celebrated in various match formats at the tournament, which was interrupted due to rain, and in the final, he overcame Aleksa Oparnica from Serbia in a super tie-break 4:2, 0:4, 10:8.
Ristov started with a victory over Croatian Stjepan Bogdan 6:2 6:1. In the 2nd round, he played with the American Marko Mrčel 6:0, 6:2. The quarterfinals were shortened because it was raining and he won the Serbian Nikola Lulić 4:1, 5:4 tiebreak 7:5.
Milovanović won the semi-final with the Ukrainian Timofilo Milovanović 4:2, 5:3. In doubles, Ristov was paired with Stefan Djokovic and they were eliminated in the semi-finals.
Just one day after the title in Nikšić, Ristov won the Montenegrin Under-18 Tennis Championship in Podgorica. A player from Emnent from Podgorica, 17-year-old Ristov won in the final in three sets against his one year older club colleague Vuk Vukićević 6:3 4:6 6:0. Milan needed three victories to win the title.
At the championship, 14-year-old youngest participant Luka Lukovac showed his class, who was stopped by Ristov in the semi-finals.
