Spanish tennis player, Rafael Nadal, confirmed that he will play in the upcoming tournament in Barcelona.
Nadal won 12 titles in Barcelona, and at the start of this year's edition he will play with the Italian Flavi Coboli.
"I am happy to be here, I have many good memories of this tournament. Coming here was decided at the last minute. The week was positive in terms of training and tomorrow I will be on the court. The last training went well, the feeling is positive," he said is Nadal.
Nadal will therefore play, but not Carlos Alcaraz, who misses the tournament due to injury.
"It's a negative thing, first of all for him, because he's injured. I wish him all the luck and a quick recovery. It's very bad news for this tournament, to lose the first seed in the draw," said Rafa.
Nadal did not want to talk too much about the rest of the season.
"I don't know anything yet. We're going one day at a time. There were a lot of bad days physically and mentally and it left its mark. On days when everything is good, I still enjoy playing tennis. I felt good training with my friends here, you the good moments compensate for the bad ones and that's why I hope to continue playing. I know that my difficulties are great, but that's how it is, that's part of the life of an athlete."
