Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal said on Wednesday that he will play in the second Grand Slam tournament of the season - Roland Garros, only if he "feels ready enough".
"If Roland Garros was tomorrow, I wouldn't play," he said on Wednesday, ahead of his appearance at the tournament in Madrid.
Nadal (38) has 22 Grand Slam titles, and Roland Garros won a record 14 times.
"If I don't play Roland Garros, it doesn't mean that everything is over. There are Olympic Games, there are different formats in which it can be played," he added.
The Spaniard was sidelined for half a year due to an injury, and returned to tennis last week at the tournament in Barcelona, where he was defeated in the second round by Alex de Minaur.
At the tournament in Madrid, he performs with a protected rating.
