The cadet water polo team of Montenegro finished their performance at the Easter tournament in Naples as second place.
The successful performance of Montenegrin water polo was completed by Andrej Durutović, who was declared the best player.
The team led by Nenad Vukanić recorded three impressive victories and experienced one defeat, at the start against the host Italy.
The young Italians won 11:8 (3:1, 1:3, 3:1 4:3), with a better game in the last two quarters.
Durutović scored four goals in that match, Danilo Roganović scored two, and Stefan Vraneš and Danilo Savović scored one each.
In the second match, they were convincing against Hungary 14:6 (2:1, 4:1, 6:2 and 2:2).
Stefan Vraneš shone with six goals, Matija Franeta and Andrej Durutović scored two each, Sava Stamatović, Danilo Savović, Danilo Roganović and Andrija Aleksić scored one each.
Montenegro also played a great game against Serbia in a 15:11 victory (5:1, 3:2, 3:1, 4:7).
The first three quarters were furious - 5:1 after eight minutes, 11:4 before the last. The rival mitigated the defeat in the final period.
The role of the first goalscorer in this duel was played by Danilo Savović with five goals, Danilo Roganović scored three goals, Andrej Durutović scored two goals, Stefan Vraneš, Dimitrije Milić, Danilo Darmanović and Andrija Aleksić scored one goal each.
In the last round, there was also a victory against Croatia 9:6 (1:2, 3:2, 2:1, 3:1).
Montenegrin cadets, after an equal three quarters, broke the opposition's resistance in the last, with goals from Andrej Durutović, Ljub Sijerković and Sava Stamatović.
One goal was also scored by Danilo Savović, two by Stefan Vraneš, and three by Danilo Roganović.
