Two matches of the domestic championship between great rivals are a great announcement of the final series for the champion of Montenegro in water polo.
In the last round of the league, Primorac defeated Jadran (15:13), but Novljan will have the advantage of the home pool in the final - primarily thanks to the points they transferred from the Regional League.
The first match of the Bokele rivals in the domestic championship ended with the triumph of Jadran (10:9).
Tonight's duel at the Kotor swimming pool brought several twists and turns - first Primorac threatened with 3:1, Jadran retaliated and after Dmitrij Holod's five-pointer in the middle of the second quarter, it was 7:4.
However, the tandem Marko Mršić - Đorđije Stanojević "woke up" the Kotorans, who quickly came back and celebrated until the end...
Mršić was the most effective in the winning team with five goals, while Stanojević shook the rival's net four times - Nemanja Vico and Nikola Brkić each scored two goals for Primorac, and Angus Lambi and Balša Vučković scored one each.
For Jadran, the scorers were Ivan Nagaev (four goals), Holod, Danilo Radović (two each), Lazar Vukićević, Jovan Vujović, Matej Čaraj, Vasilije Radović and Strahinja Gojković (one each).
Jadran and Primorac finished the league part of the competition with five wins and a loss each, but Novljan from the Regional League took four points and Kotor three, so Petar Radanović's team will start the finals from the first position.
The final series starts on April 30 at Škver, and the champion will be the team that first reaches three victories.
