Russian forces hit the regional administration building in the central square of the recently liberated city of Kherson in the south of the country with multiple rocket launchers, the deputy chief of staff of the president of Ukraine said, as reported by Reuters.
Ukraine retook Kherson from Russian forces on November 11, and President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the square on November 14 to welcome the end of the Russian occupation.
Since leaving the city, Russian forces have been shelling Kherson from the opposite side of the Dnieper River.
The Kremlin said it had not received any proposals for a "Christmas ceasefire" in Ukraine, Reuters reported.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Russia earlier this week to begin withdrawing its troops from his country by Christmas as the first step toward a peace deal in the nearly 10-month conflict.

Attacks by Russian drones this morning on Kiev and the region around the Ukrainian capital did not damage any energy facilities, the national operator of the electric network Ukrenergo announced.

As reported by Reuters, Klitschko stated that anti-aircraft systems shot down 10 Iranian Shahed drones.
