Russian volunteers fighting for Ukraine said today that they attacked a Russian village near the Ukrainian border, in a ground operation that followed drone attacks in several regions of Russia.
"We have crossed the border," a unit called the Legion of Freedom of Russia announced on Telegram.
According to reports, members of that unit destroyed an armored vehicle in a village in the Kursk region.
The governor of that Russian region confirmed that the attack was underway.
He said that one person was slightly injured, but he denied that there was a "breakthrough" of the attackers.
