At least 13 people were wounded today, including one child, in a Russian missile attack on the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, is the new balance announced by the Ukrainian emergency service.

About 30 cruise and ballistic missiles were shot down over the city, said Sergiy Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration.
Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said this morning that the air defense units repelled the attack and that parts of the missiles fell in different parts of the city.
The remains of the downed Russian rocket hit several residential buildings, industrial facilities and kindergartens.
It was the first major rocket attack on Kiev in recent weeks.
