Four people were killed, including a 10-year-old girl, and seven people were injured in tonight's Russian missile attack on the southern Ukrainian region of Odesa, the regional governor said, Reuters reports.
Oleh Kiper wrote in the messaging application Telegram that one of the injured is in serious condition after having his legs amputated.
He said that emergency teams were on the scene, and that "doctors are doing everything they can".
The missiles, believed to be Iskander-M ballistic missiles, fell between 18:18.30 and 17:00 local time (17:30-XNUMX:XNUMX CET).
The transport infrastructure and trucks that were nearby were also damaged.
The Ukrainian military said the attack was aimed at transport facilities. A gas station was hit, which increases the risk of explosions in that area. Odessa, one of Ukraine's busiest ports, has been a frequent target of Russian attacks in the 25-month war.
On the other hand, the governor of the southern Russian region of Kursk, Roman Starovoit, announced that three people, two of whom were children, were killed in an attack by a Ukrainian drone on a car in the Kursk region, Reuters reported.
