Russia carried out a major attack with missiles and drones on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in five regions and caused a power outage for about 200.000 people, local officials said on Thursday, according to Reuters.
In the announcement of the Ukrainian army, it is stated that the Russian forces used 82 missiles, rockets and drones in the attack, and that the anti-aircraft defense shot down 18 rockets and 39 drones.
Substations and facilities for the production of electricity of the network operator Ukrenergo suffered damage in the regions of Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye, Lviv and Kyiv.
The Ministry of the Interior announced that at least ten rockets hit the city of Kharkiv, which is only 30 kilometers from the Russian border.
