French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu and his German counterpart Boris Pistorius said on Friday that their countries are ready to continue with a joint project to develop a new tank, which should become the central pillar of both countries' defense.
As reported by Reuters, Pistorius said that the aim is to conclude contracts for the new Franco-German tank by the end of the year, while Lekornu stated that companies such as KNDS, Rheinmetall and Thales are likely to contribute to the future tank.
