Russia carried out large-scale attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukraine last night, injuring at least two people, the Ukrainian army and local authorities announced.

"During the night, the Russian occupiers launched a new major attack on Ukraine, using various types of cruise missiles," the Ukrainian military said in a regular morning report.

As stated by the army, a total of 34 rockets were fired, of which 21 were shot down.

Energy Minister German Galushchenko confirmed that attacks were carried out on facilities in three regions of the country, while the energy holding company DTEK announced that four of their thermal power plants were damaged in "massive strikes".

Galushchenko stated that "the enemy has again attacked the country's energy infrastructure" and that installations in Dnipropetrovsk in the east of the country, and in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv in the west were damaged.

An 82-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were injured. A woman was injured in an artillery attack on the district of Nikopolj in the center, and a man was injured in a Russian attack on the energy infrastructure in the neighboring district of Krivorizka, Oleksander Vilkul, president of the Defense Council of Krivoy Rog, wrote on Telegram.

The army intercepted 68 Ukrainian drones in Russia's southern Krasnodar region and Crimea last night, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.

According to that ministry, 66 drones were shot down over the territory of the Krasnodar region, and two over the Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014.

"They tried to attack oil refineries and infrastructure. According to information from the scene, there were no injuries or serious damage," Krasnodar Region Governor Venjamin Kondratiev wrote on Telegram.

The Ukrainian military has increased its drone attacks on Russian territory in recent months, mostly targeting energy facilities.
