Former Minister of Internal Affairs and member of the Presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Nebojša Stefanović today rejected the writing of the Krik portal, with the assessment that there is no evidence in that text for the claims of his connection with the criminal clan of Darko Šarić.

Earlier today, Krik published the criminal complaint of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, in which, among other things, it is mentioned that Stefanović was mentioned under the code name "Edo" in the correspondence of Šarić's group on the "Sky" application.

The portal also stated that Stefanović assigned two of his associates from the police to Šarić to help the clan, but also that he personally delivered confidential information to that group.

Stefanović, in a statement, claims that everything published by Krik, "and later elaborated by his political friends from the opposition - is the most disgusting lie".

"For the umpteenth time, for three years now, Krik and other call-the-media have connected me with hardened criminals and invented that I communicated with them through the Sky application. Every time I denied these lies and always asked our authorities and of our international partners to investigate such nonsense and no evidence has ever been presented. There is none now that Crick is writing the same nonsense again," he stated.

According to him, there is no evidence for this because he has never been in contact with convicted, serious criminals, as well as because he has never used the "Sky" application.

"The people from Crik have to explain once and for all how many times they think of repeating the same lie in order for someone to believe them. How many times do you have to turn a blind eye to the facts and the evidence in order to continue pretending to be some kind of research media with your lies? I will answer them - I can do things like this and similar lies that they publish every day, but that will not change the truth that I have never, in any situation, by any means, communicated with convicted criminals. They will finally have to answer in court for what they are doing," added Stefanović.

He also asked the Freedom and Justice Party to explain "why they take such a brutal lie in their hands to make some political point", and without, as Stefanović claims, any proof and verification, "they market pure lies through the media they directly control".

"They even accuse the president of the republic of having committed a serious crime himself. In no country in the world can this kind of lie and arrogance go without consequences," said the former police minister.

Stefanović added that he expects the Serbian judicial authorities to "stand in the way of such dirtiest political campaigns and to protect the truth", adding that he will always be at their disposal in this regard.

Earlier today, Krik announced the criminal complaint that the Serbian police submitted to the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime on April 15, 2022, including the former Minister of Police Nebojša Stefanović and one of the leaders of the BIA, Marko Parezanović, due to their alleged connection with Darko Šarić's criminal group. .

KRIK states that they were identified as "functionaries who hid behind the nicknames Edo and Markus" in the communications of Saric's group on the "Sky" application.

The police filed that report against Šarić's group, not against Stefanović and Parezanović, but in it they state that they are hiding behind the mentioned nicknames and that they did favors for the criminal clan.

The prosecution, which received the material from the police, did not initiate an investigation against Stefanović and Parezanović, and the prosecution does not mention them in the indictment against Šarić's group.
