The trial of Darko Šarić and his associates in the proceedings for planning the murder and discrediting the witnesses of the associates in the trial in which Šarić was convicted of smuggling 5,7 tons of cocaine continued in the Special Court in Belgrade with the production of text messages from the defendants from the "Sky" application.
The first message shown today is a message that the Serbian Prosecution claims was sent by Darko Šarić on May 11, 2020, in which he reports that his wife gave birth and that they had a son. transmissions H1.
That message caused a heated debate in the courtroom. Darko Šarić's lawyers stated that private messages in which there is no evidence of criminal acts were produced, and they again requested that such correspondence be removed from the case file.
The lawyers further stated that there is no server from which the messages were allegedly extracted, that there are no messages, that there is no proof that such a server was confiscated and they asked the prosecution to provide them with proof of this, because they only received tables with messages.
Darko Šarić also spoke in the courtroom and he asked the prosecution to provide the defense with evidence that France seized the server.
"Just to ask the prosecutor to give us some proof, to show us that seized server. After all, you are an authority, an institution. How can we prove that it has not been confiscated and does not exist. I guess we have the right to see if something is confiscated, that server is a mirage," said Darko Šarić.
In the continuation of the trial, a set of messages was presented, the content of which shows that they refer to the private life of the accused, but also a set of messages from which the Prosecution concluded that the accused were preparing to set fire to the car of the businessman from Valjevo, Goran Nikolašević.
According to the agreement with the members of Šarić's group, Nikolašević falsely accused Nebojša Joksović, an associate witness in the process in which Šarić was convicted of smuggling 5,7 tons of cocaine, for the attempt to liquidate him. As stated in the indictment, the goal of the staged car explosion in August 2020 in Valjevo was for Joksović to lose his status as an accomplice witness.
In the indictment of the Serbian Prosecutor's Office for organized crime, the messages date from 2020, the period when Darko Šarić was in custody in the Special Court building, reminds N1. All "Sky" messages to the Prosecutor's Office were delivered from France through international legal assistance in criminal matters.
By the way, after three months spent in detention, Duško Šarić, the brother of Darko Šarić, who is also accused in this proceeding, came to the trial from home, where he has been under house arrest since April 12 with the obligation to wear a leg brace.
At the previous hearing, the court panel set Duško Šarić this lighter bail measure of 800 euros.
He voluntarily surrendered to the Serbian police on January 4 of this year, and until then he was tried in absentia.
