Several consecutive earthquakes, the strongest of which was magnitude 6,1, hit Taiwan this morning.
There are no reports of injuries, and minor material damage was caused.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the magnitude 6,1 earthquake was 28 kilometers south of the city of Hualien, at a depth of 10,7 kilometers.
The aftershocks ranged in magnitude from 4,5 to XNUMX, and were all near Hualien.
Schools and offices have been ordered to remain closed today.
Earlier this month, a magnitude 7,4 earthquake hit the island, killing 13 people and injuring more than 1.000.
It was the strongest earthquake to hit Taiwan in the last 25 years, and it was followed by hundreds of aftershocks.
