David Gilmour, the famous British rocker and member of the Pink Floyd group, will end a nine-year record hiatus. The musician announced that he will release a new album called "Luck and Strange" on September 6.
Gilmore, in collaboration with producer Charlie Andrews, recorded nine songs that will be on the album, which is the result of the global shutdown due to the covid pandemic. Most of the lyrics were written by his wife, Polly Samson, as has been the case with Gilmore's albums for decades, and she said the songs were written "from the point of view of aging, mortality being a constant."
And the rest of the family is involved, so David's daughter Romani sings and plays the harp on the album, son Gabriel sings backing vocals, and another son Charlie contributed in writing the lyrics for one song.
