Detention of a police officer suspected of trying to assault a girl

The senior prosecutor in Bijelo Polje, Ljubinka Caković, after the hearing, ordered the suspect police officer D.L to be detained for 72 hours, due to the suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illicit sexual activity.

This was confirmed to Television Vijesti by the lawyer of the suspected police officer, Petar Pavićević.

He said that the policeman denied the crime, but decided to remain silent during the further proceedings.

The police arrested colleague D.L. (54) because of the suspicion that last night he tried to assault a thirteen-year-old girl in his apartment, in a town in the north of the country.

Portal Vijesti announced that the suspected policeman, when she was passing by his house, invited the girl to watch the game with his children, and then tried to kiss her. The girl then told her parents what happened, after which the policeman was arrested.

"The acting state prosecutor of the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, after the hearing, ordered the suspect D.L. from Š to be detained for 72 hours, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of unauthorized sexual activity. The criminal report stated that the suspect D.L. on 14.01.2024. in XNUMX, committed the aforementioned criminal offense to the detriment of the child," announced the spokesman of that prosecution, Vladan Đalović.
