In the Basic Court in Ulcinj, the trial of former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović was postponed today due to the lawsuits of former high-ranking police officer Zoran Lazović and the company "Bemax", at the request of their legal representative, Podgorica lawyer Zoran Piperović.

"Yes, it's true, I asked for a postponement and informed my colleague, Gzim Hadžibeti, the defendant's lawyer, about it," Piperović said.
Before the Ulcinj court, there are six lawsuits filed by Piperović against Abazović as the legal representative of Lazović, businessman Ranko Ubović, his company "Bemax" and the former co-owner of that company, Aleksandar Mijajlović.
The lawsuits against Abazović, the legal representative of Ubović and Lazović, were filed "due to the fact that the prime minister repeatedly made a number of accusations against them, and among other things, that they planned his liquidation"...
During the preliminary hearing on June 22 last year before judge Jovan Jovanović, a decision was made to merge the two lawsuits into a common case due to the economy of the procedure.
Ubović and Lazović are suing the prime minister for compensation for non-material damage, with which they are asking for EUR 21.000 in compensation for the violation of personal rights.
Meanwhile, on Sunday April 14, the police arrested Lazović and former chief special prosecutor Milivoj Katnić on the order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (STP), whom they suspect of creating a criminal organization, participating in it and abuse of office.
They were remanded in custody for up to 30 days.
